A police sergeant was shot and killed early this Sunday morning in Gregory Park, Portmore St. Catherine. The deceased sergeant of the St. Andrew South Division is identified as Averel McCollins.
Report are that approximately 1:30 am the Sergeant Averel McCollins and a group of individuals were having a game of domino at a premises in Gregory Park when men turn up at the location and shot him several times. He was then rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
