Dancehall artiste Rygin King is focusing on reuniting with his children and prioritising his health after returning to Jamaica following months in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The “Tuff” deejay, who said he has not seen his children in five years, told Observer Online that he is using this time to reconnect with his family and undergo medical check-ups after his lengthy detention. He also expressed relief at being back on the island, where he plans to enjoy Jamaican food, spend time by the sea and get himself mentally prepared for the next chapter of his life. The entertainer assured fans that they will be seeing and hearing more from him soon.
Rygin King had been living in the United States for several years before being detained by ICE in March 2026. His immigration situation was reportedly complicated by an ongoing weapons case in Queens, New York, where he pleaded not guilty to six charges following a traffic stop during which police alleged that a loaded firearm was found in his vehicle. Although he had been scheduled for a green card interview, the unresolved case affected his immigration proceedings. Sources close to the entertainer described his return to Jamaica as a voluntary departure from the United States. Since the news emerged, some fans have expressed concern about his well-being, particularly as he continues to live with a disability resulting from a 2023 shooting in Westmoreland. For now, the dancehall star remains committed to spending time with his loved ones and taking care of his health before returning to the spotlight.
