Reggae / Dancehall icon Sizzla Kolonji is currently in Miami, Florida after performing at St Thomas Carnival in US Virgin Islands. The artist is schedule to perform on several upcoming events after his US visa was reinstated. The first major show will be held in Atlanta May 17 (The return of Sizzla).
Sizzla shared a post with his location in Miami on Friday caption “It’s a beautiful day smile with the world put your problems away welcome the love”.
This arouse great interest as Buju Banton is also in Florida having made the announcement on Thursday with Dj Khaled on a instagram livestream. With no show schedule for Sizzla in Florida, some fans are curious whether or not if he will be linking up with Dj Khaled and Buju Banton.
Sizzla visa was first revoke in 2008, as a result of that he had to cancel numerous tour dates. However in 2016 he was granted a five year visitor’s visa and a three year permit which allowed him to perform. In 2018 the US Embassy revoke his visa in which reason reason for the revocation did not disclosed, many speculate that it was because he repeatedly sang about chastising the LGBT community.
Announcement about his US visa reinstated was made in February 2024.
